Daniel Egneus is a fantastic artist I just discovered thanks to the Koelle’s blog. Absolutely incredible. Every hue of color, line or ink blot is perfectly executed and necessary. I thought I’ve seen everything, but this guy has a grasp on white space and composition that I could never imagine. Good job Daniel!

    more pics after the break.

Chris and Annie Koelle are some of the most creative people I know. They’re a husband & wife duo I went to school with. They both have very different styles but their styles are completely complimentary. Their blog is great to look at and read.  I’ve never met people who are as busy producing original great art as they are.

Any good artist finds inspiration in anything anywhere at any time. The holidays are a great time for inspiration and a site that I frequent, Apartment Therapy, has some great ideas for decorating for the holidays yet being creative about it and they’ve even paired the images with a Christmas song. My wife and I are attempting to decorate with found/used items instead of heading off to Target or Home Depot to buy the latest made in China cheesy decorations. I hope that these images will help to inspire you as well.

As an artist, discovering something new is a growing difficulty. And sometimes you discover another artist who has discovered something that speaks to you so clearly and you wonder, “why didn’t I think of that?” Bryan Nash Gill, is an artist who creates beautiful relief prints from tree trunks. Reading the age lines on a tree can tell you just as much as reading old archived newspapers. They tell the struggle of the tree through years of growth and famine. I discovered this on The English Muffin Blog.

I found this totally awesome site which allows you to sketch anything you want. But it records you drawing it, and allows you to rewind and watch your sketch in fast motion. You can also see other people’s sketches and watch them sketch it. Very cool. Here’s a sketch I did of a dachshund…

I’ve been busy with some freelance work that I hope to upload here and show off. But I just discovered this great artist.

Josh Brill is the artist behind Lumadessa. He has created a handful of beautiful modern bird designs. I purchased one. The last image features his beautiful bird iphone backgrounds. Great stuff man!

I’ve never blogged about clothing, but it’s never too late for a first. There’s a wide abundance of cool T’s that aren’t made by a 5 yr old in China, but are custom by local artists. But for some reason, these T’s just got me. Maybe it’s the secret love of typography I have. I don’t know. But check them out at Ugmonk’s shop.
